Editorial & ads policy

Effective 15 October 2026.

What we publish

  • Figures from official records — Dubai Land Department and Dubai Pulse open data — with their source and date.
  • Guides written with registered brokers, checked against the DLD broker register and signed with their name and BRN. A guide is published only after its author approves the final text.
  • Our own analysis, such as forecasts and off-plan X-rays, with the method explained and unverified items marked To be confirmed.

Every claim carries an author or a source and a date. Where brokers disagree, we show both views rather than pick one silently.

What we don't publish

  • Units for sale or rent without a permit. Any unit shown on FairSqft must display a valid Trakheesi (Dubai) or Madmoun (Abu Dhabi) advertising permit. Without one, it is not published. Today FairSqft publishes no unit advertising at all.
  • Content copied from listing portals, including their listings, photos and descriptions.
  • Anonymous claims presented as fact, and personal data of people who have not agreed to it.

Money and independence

  • Paying never buys a verdict. No one — broker, agency or developer — can pay to change a price range, a forecast, a finding or a ranking, or to remove a negative one.
  • FairSqft takes no commissions or referral fees; it is not a licensed brokerage.
  • We may in future charge for tools or reports. Paid features never change what the data says.
  • There is no advertising on FairSqft today. If we ever carry sponsored content, it will be labelled as such, kept apart from our analysis, and comply with UAE advertising rules.

Conflicts of interest

Brokers must tell us if they have a listing or a client interest in what they write about; we show that disclosure next to the content.

Moderation

Questions from buyers and contributions from brokers are reviewed before publication. We remove personal data, unsupported claims and anything defamatory or unlawful.

Use of AI

We use AI tools to transcribe interviews, draft guides and process data. A person reviews everything before publication, and a broker approves every text published in their name. AI answers about a home will be based only on real material supplied for it; we do not generate furniture, views or features that do not exist.
